Carpet Plus is looking for a flooring installer to install hard surface floor coverings in residential homes. Potential installers must maintain a professional appearance, be organized, punctual, and able to manage communications and craftmanship at a high level.
This position requires an individual that takes tremendous pride in their work and is able and willing to perform to very high standards. This position requires availability Monday through Friday.
Requirements include:
1) Installing hardwood, luxury vinyl, laminate, and sheet vinyl at the highest levels of quality, following recommended standards from organizations like CFI, NWFA, WFCA, etc.
2) Proper leveling, floor prep, installing and removing trim, furniture moving, and removal and disposal of existing floors.
3) An individual that takes pride in their craft and places an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship over speed and ease.
4) A desire to solve problems together and a willingness to ask questions when you are unsure of the answer.
5) Strong communication skills and an ability to create a professional relationship with a variety of customers.
6) Integrity, honesty, and a willingness to contribute as a key member of a team.
Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:

5) Self-motivated, with a willingness to continually learn about new installation methods and trends.
6) Possess all tools needed to complete the installation.
7) Be a licensed driver and possess an adequate vehicle to transport the crew and materials to the jobsite in a safe and professional manner.
Job type: Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday; varies as installation jobs are available, though we make every effort to fill your available days.
Location: Ideally, the installer is based within 30 minutes of Charlottesville, VA
