Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Mercy High School, an all-girls Catholic high school founded by the Sisters of Mercy is a mission-driven organization with a diverse student population focused on academic excellence and the inspiration of young girls to become confident Women of Mercy who embody faith, knowledge, and compassionate service.

Mercy High School is seeking a passionate, dynamic teacher to join our World Language Department to inspire curiosity, cultural understanding, and global citizenship in our students. Consideration will be given to American Sign Language (ASL), French, and Asian languages (ie: Japanese, Mandarin, Korean).

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Commitment to fostering inclusive and engaging classrooms
• Strong rapport with students, faculty, staff, and parents
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Enthusiasm for working in a mission-driven, collaborative school community

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant language or education
• Teaching certification (or eligibility) preferred
• Previous teaching experience with native language a plus
