Job Description:
Serve as the in-house cybersecurity SME, driving security policy creation, auditing existing infrastructure, and enabling secure modernization of IT systems across multi-cloud environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Evaluate and optimize current security technologies and policies
Collaborate & leverage shared cybersecurity resources and licenses
Draft, enforce, and maintain security policies
Mentor junior SecOps staff
Serve as the point of contact for internal and external security stakeholders
Conduct audits and assess GCP, AWS, and internal systems for compliance
Align business objectives with cybersecurity needs and controls
Recommend and implement security improvements
Support onboarding and training for seasonal staff
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
Proven experience across GCP, AWS, and cybersecurity best practices
Strong working knowledge of Gmail, GCP, and integrations with Python
Familiarity with tools such as Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, Netskope, and Darktrace
Autonomous mindset and proactive problem-solver
Ability to write, enforce, and communicate security policies
Comfortable working in lightly documented environments
Ability to work well and adapt to shared security models
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience mentoring junior cybersecurity staff
SQL/database familiarity for data analytics support
Exposure to Netskope, Cisco Umbrella, OKTA, Mimecast
Familiarity with seasonal or high-turnover environments
