Responsibilities

Become a member of Brightstar, a global leader in the lottery industry. We deliver entertaining and responsible lottery experiences to players worldwide. As our Retail Merchandising Associate, you will have an active role in the sales and marketing of lottery products on a large scale. This critical role will support the Stevensville - South Haven, area of MI, a highly successful and strategic account for Brightstar.

 

Brightstar’s breadth and depth of experience designing, implementing, and operating retail lottery systems is unmatched in the industry. Lotteries trust our systems for their high performance, security, and streamlined operations. Brightstar provides retail lottery systems (managing both draw games and scratch tickets) to 8 of the world’s top 10 lotteries and 16 of the top 25. Globally, more than 60 lotteries use Brightstar Systems. In addition to supporting our customers’ retail games, we collaborate with them to enhance the customer experience through mobile applications, instant-win games, and online product suites and enhancements.

As our next Retail Merchandising Associate, you will be responsible for driving sales within an assigned territory. It is within that responsibility that you will be asked to:

  • Evaluate and manage product inventory, display, and presentation
  • Optimize the inventory mix at retail locations through planograms, instant ticket ordering, and returns management.
  • Ensure customers’ Standards of Excellence are met at all points of retail distribution.
  • Educate retailers and players to maximize sales.
  • Reviews statistics with retailers consistently.
  • Follow all lottery procedures, such as picking up, dropping off, transferring, closing, and returning tickets to our warehouse.
  • Complete required paperwork and assist with other projects as they are assigned.

Qualifications

As part of that success, the ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in sales in retail or wholesale sales.

We are looking for team members of various skill levels. We value all forms of knowledge and experience.

We want our newest team member to have a strong grasp of Microsoft Word, Excel, and experience with PowerPoint for work on company-provided tablets or computers. You will also need to have a valid driver's license, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and reside in the Kalamazoo area.
