We seek an experienced Plumbing Service Helper position with our client in Raleigh, NC.

This is a temp-to-hire position. Weekly pay while employed with ASC.

VALID NC DRIVER LICENSE REQUIRED WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF A PLUMBING SERVICE HELPER:

Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and draining systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.

DUTIES OF A PLUMBING SERVICE HELPER:

• Measure, cut, and install conduit, pipe, and tubing in a plumbing and professionally appealing manner.
• Insulate lines, pipes, ducts, cast iron sewer, water lines, and other plumbing equipment.
• Carry, hold, and help install parts, components, materials, and supplies.
• Load and unload carriers and company vehicles.
• Stock and store items at the company, job sites, and work locations.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and work area as necessary. Change belts, filters, and pulleys.
• Help replace or repair fixtures such as faucets, water closets, tank and tank-less water heaters, hose bibbs, backflow preventers, filtration systems, and pressure-reducing valves. Work also includes repairing and replacing sewer, water, and gas service lines.
• Dig ditches and holes for laying conduit, pipe, fuel supply tanks, and other necessary reasons.
• Operate company vehicles to deliver materials, tools, parts, components, and supplies on the job site.
• Exercise behavior that ensures personal safety and the safety of coworkers and promotes a positive company image.
• Work may include, but is not limited to, electrical, HVAC, warehouse support, building and grounds maintenance, cleanup, and clerical duties as required by the supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE OF A PLUMBING SERVICE HELPER :

• 1+ years of experience
• High school diploma or equivalent *required
• Valid NC driver's license with a clean driving record *required
• Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed *required
• Must have basic knowledge of simple measuring devices (tape measure, ruler, etc. ).
• Must be able to use power and hand tools to perform all duties listed.
• Maintain mental and physical attention necessary to operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and people skills
• Strong work ethic and a great attitude
• Exceptional safety knowledge of tools and surroundings (OSHA certifications are a plus!)
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A  PLUMBING SERVICE HELPER:

Must work efficiently and skillfully with hands; lift and carry objects weighing up to 150 pounds. See well (either naturally or with a corrective lens). Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds and stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

PAY RANGE & SHIFT  OF A PLUMBING SERVICE HELPER:

* $16.00 - $20.00
* Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
