Position Summary Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor supports the hotels' mission to create exceptional guest and colleague experiences by overseeing and supporting operational duties within the Housekeeping department.
This position works primarily Wednesday through Sunday (middays/evenings) with flexibility for variable hours including holidays and based on business needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Inspecting guest rooms and managing and reviewing the work of other housekeepers and attendants
• Addressing guest relations in a manner aligned with Hyatt values
• Monitoring public areas of the hotel for cleanliness standards, and responding as needed with operational or personnel support
• Working with the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Directors of Rooms, coaching and supporting staff to meet Hyatt standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Qualifications & Experience • Minimum 1 year of housekeeping or highly relevant experience, preferably in the hotel or comparably industry
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Superior guest and customer service skills and able to model, motivate, and instill that same vigor on their team
• Prior supervisory or lead experience a plus, preferably with an empathy-forward and valued-led mindset
• Proven ability to work through and/or resolve conflict with urgency, integrity, and care, while sustaining collaborative and respectful working relationships with coworkers
- Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner, while managing competing priorities using available resources and support
- Comfort and basic proficiency with effective use of computers including but not limited to email and word processing (Microsoft Office), collaboration and virtual meeting tools (MS Teams, WhatsApp)
- Ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs., climb stairs, and work in a standing position for extended periods of time
