Job Description

We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will primarily support purchasing and planning activities within Oracle ERP, ensuring timely procurement of components and smooth production flow. You will work closely with internal teams and vendors to manage inventory, forecast needs, and maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience:

• Minimum recent 1+ year in Purchasing/Planning using Oracle ERP.

• Highschool/GED Minimum Required.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).

• Familiarity with Oracle Materials module.

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

• Proactive and detail-oriented.

Hours: Monday through Friday (fully onsite)

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Planning

• Purchase electronic components, PC boards, plastic parts, cable assemblies.

• Manage work-in-process (WIP) transactions and receipts in Oracle.

• Forecast material requirements and maintain inventory levels.

• Vendor Communication

• Coordinate with suppliers regarding partial shipments and urgent requests.

• Production Support

• Assist with processing and shipping tasks.

• Support build-up of units and Kanban inventory management.

• Collaboration

• Work closely with the main Buyer to offload Oracle-related workload.

• Participate in daily huddles, quality discussions, and Kaizen activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago Heights, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
